Terms and conditions
Last updated 29 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy from bikesonroof.co.uk. Please read them before you order. Nothing in them affects your legal rights as a consumer.
1. About us
Bikes On Roof is run by BIKESONROOF, 15-17 Vale Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent. TN1 1BS.
You can contact us at [email protected].
2. Our products
We sell mirror hangers and windscreen stickers that remind drivers there’s something on the roof of their car.
The pictures on our website are illustrations. The hanger you receive may have a slightly different design from the one shown, and colours can look different on different screens. Sizes are approximate.
3. Using the products safely
Our products are a reminder. You are still responsible for knowing the height of your vehicle and anything on it, and for checking height limits before you drive under them.
- Make sure the mirror hanger and stickers don’t block your view of the road. Stick windscreen stickers along the top edge of the windscreen or in a corner, clear of your line of sight.
- If the hanger swings or blocks your view while you drive, take it down and keep it somewhere you’ll see it, such as on the dashboard or steering wheel when you park.
- Follow the Highway Code and the law on keeping your windscreen clear.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and include any VAT that applies. Delivery to UK addresses is free.
Payment is taken by card or other methods offered at checkout, through our payment provider Stripe. We take payment when you place your order.
If we’ve made an obvious mistake with a price, we’ll contact you before sending your order. You can then choose to go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
5. Your order
When you pay at checkout, you’re making an offer to buy the items in your basket. Our contract with you starts when your payment is accepted and we send you a receipt by email.
We may cancel an order and refund you in full if the items are no longer available, there’s an error in the price or description, or we suspect fraud. If this happens we’ll let you know as soon as possible.
6. Delivery
We deliver to UK addresses only. Delivery times and what to do if an order doesn’t arrive are on our delivery and returns page.
The items become yours once we’ve received payment in full. They’re your responsibility once they’ve been delivered.
7. Cancelling and returns
You can cancel within 14 days of the day after your order arrives, for any reason. How to cancel, how to send items back and how refunds work are explained on our delivery and returns page.
8. Faulty or damaged items
We’re required by law to supply goods that match their description, are of satisfactory quality and are fit for purpose. If something is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, email us and we’ll replace it or refund you.
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 aren’t affected by these terms. For example, you can reject faulty goods for a full refund within 30 days of receiving them. For more information, visit Citizens Advice.
9. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
Because our products are a reminder rather than a safety device, we aren’t responsible for damage to your vehicle, bikes, roof rack or other property, or for any other loss, caused by driving into a height barrier or other obstruction, unless that loss was caused by a fault in our product.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breaching your legal rights as a consumer.
10. Business customers
If you buy as a business, such as a bike shop or fleet operator, the consumer cancellation rights in section 7 don’t apply to you, and our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for the order.
11. Your personal information
How we use your personal information is explained in our privacy policy.
12. Complaints
If you’re unhappy with anything, please email [email protected] and we’ll do our best to put it right.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you’re a consumer, you can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of where you live.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on this page when you placed it.
